Eligibility and Attendance as per the NYSPHSAA and GNSAD “No student may participate in an inter-scholastic contest on a day when that student is absent from school, unless special permission for the absence was granted by the administration. If an athlete is going to miss a practice or game, for any reason, he/she MUST notify the coach in a timely fashion. Players who miss practice time or competition, may lose playing time. Vacations: When parents and athletes choose to take family vacations, the athlete’s absence negatively affects the entire team.
